Texting While Driving
In 2008, nearly 6,000 people died in accidents related to distracted drivers,
and more than half-a-million were injured, according to a CBS news article from
January 2010. With the number one driver distraction reported as using a mobile device, nineteen states and the District of Columbia ban
texting-while-driving any vehicle. The statistics speak for themselves on the dangers of texting while driving.
