Celebrity Recognizes Employee of the Year

Employee recognition. Many companies realize that its true value rests in the people they hire and how they reward employee service. Recognizing a job well done can often be a determining factor in the longevity of staff and can have benefits far beyond tenure. Improved quality of work, reduced absenteeism, interaction with co-workers and overall job satisfaction can all be tied to employee recognition. Accomplishing such achievement in employee recognition can be especially challenging for a staffing service, where the objective is often short term employment opportunities with the goal of securing regular employment.

National Staffing Employee week, this year September 14 – 20, is recognized throughout the industry as a time to give much deserved accolades to the 2.66 million people employed by staffing companies throughout the US on any given day. Celebrity Staff feels that exceptional employees should be recognized more frequently than once a year, so we honor an Employee of the Quarter whose accomplishments are worth celebrating and feature their story in our quarterly newsletter. During National Staffing Employee week we review all past Employee of the Quarter recipients to select one special individual to honor at our annual Employee of the Year dinner ceremony, which was held on Thursday, Sept. 24.

Celebrating with professionals from each of the staffing divisions within C&A Industries, Inc., Celebrity Staff was ecstatic to recognize the accomplishments of our 2009 Employee of the Quarter, Doug G. at last night’s event. We are proud he chose to join the Celebrity Staff team! Here is just a little bit about Doug:

Doug has worked for Celebrity Staff since the fall of 2002 and has been out to 18 different assignments, with a majority of them being longer term. His current assignment began in November 2004. Driving 30 miles one way, Doug has never missed a day of work since January 2008. According to Doug’s supervisor, “Doug is dependable and committed to a high quality of work. He is extremely conscientious and I depend on him for many things. He truly cares about doing his very best I don’t know what I would do without him.”

It’s no surprise to our client that Doug would be recognized for his efforts and abilities. They can’t think of anyone more deserving for Employee of the Year than Doug G. and either can we.
