Starting Your Assignment

At Celebrity Staff we're here to make your transition to your first or next assignment a smooth one. We've included some important reminders and information that will help you begin your position with confidence.

While you're working as an employee of Celebrity Staff in your current position, which you've committed to for the duration of the assignment, we'll be looking ahead and identifying future positions that match your skills and experience. Keep in regular contact with your Account Manager and provide any updates to your contact information, should you have a change of address, email, or phone number.

Preparing for your assignment:
Be sure you are ready for the first day of your new assignment and have the following information in hand. If you have questions or if anything is unclear to you, contact your Account Manager for assistance.

  • Name of the company (where you will be working)
  • Location/address of the assignment (and directions)
  • Hours/schedule and the length of the assignment
  • Your job responsibilities and specific tasks
  • Your hourly pay rate
  • The name of your supervisor and/or the person to whom you report on your first day
  • Workplace attire
  • Other details that relate to your assignment
  • Contact information for your Celebrity Staff Account Manager

It's important that you are on time, if not 15 minutes early, so make sure you plan ahead. If you are running late for any reason or are not able to be at work due to illness or an emergency, contact your Account Manager with Celebrity Staff immediately. We will contact the client organization on your behalf.

During your assignment:

  • While you are an employee of Celebrity Staff, follow the guidelines in the Employee Handbook, which was provided to you, as well as the policies and procedures established by the company to which you are assigned.
  • Should you have questions, concerns, or disputes regarding your hourly pay rate, hours, job responsibilities, or other issues relating to your assignment, contact your Account Manager with Celebrity Staff.
  • Be professional at all times.
  • Be on time or early each day.
  • If you are not able to report to work for any reason, contact your Celebrity Staff Account Manager immediately.
  • While on assignment, telephone, internet, and email systems are to be used only for conducting company business.
  • Follow the time card entry procedures described in the handbook to ensure we have the information required to pay you.
  • Dress appropriately each day of each assignment. Your Account Manager will talk with you about the workplace culture and dress code, but when in doubt err on the side of dressing more conservatively and professionally.
  • Do not be afraid to ask questions on the job about the tasks you are performing. If you are unsure of something, check with your onsite supervisor.
  • Do not approach the client organization about full-time employment. If you have an interest in a position, talk with your Celebrity Staff Account Manager.
